Why is it this mobo cannot go higher than 1600 on ram? Is it a bios issue?

As far as I'm aware you can run RAM faster than 1600MHz and according to the QVL from Gigabyte ( http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-z77x-ud5h.pdf ) it can.

So why does it say in the specs then top speed you can run is 1600?? Never got that.. lol ???
