Hi there,
I have a motherboard (GA-M55SLI-S4 (rev. 2.0) with the bios version of F11j) which supports X4 955 but it does not say anything about BLACK EDITION in the CPU support page.

Do you think my motherboard can also work with X4 955 BE? I have done some research in google but I couldn't find the answer.
Thank you.

Yes it will. The BE is just an unlocked version of the regular x955.

However I realised that they have included the not supported ones with N/A based on the bios version. It seems that this motherboard does not support that CPU. What do you reckon?
-
urm. If the Locked edition works on the board then the unlocked one should too. There is no technical reason why not.

As mercyground said, is no technical reason to why it shouldn't work. Although if you were worried then stick to the ones on the supported list, you should still be able to overclock fairly high, even without an unlocked multi :)

Thank you very much for your suggestions guys.

Which CPU did you go for in the end? :)
