Title: HD5770
Post by: workshop on January 12, 2010, 04:24:50 pm
Have built a system with this card installed and have encountered a strange error. I have tracked down the issue to the Gigabyte HD5770 graphics card. With this card installed I get a triple click repeated for 20 - 30 seconds and then the system boots. Have never encountered this before and am loathe to order in a new card as the system works perfectly after the eventual start. A bog standard graphics card boots without a problem. The mainboard is an M720-US3.

this triple click comes from system speaker before POST ?
try this VGA with different MB
upgrade the bios of the MB

I had very similar problems but with a different MB. A new BIOS sorted out my problem, take a look here it might help. http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?topic=2116.new;topicseen#new

If it isn't posted on the site yet it maybe that there are still problems with the update.

As Dark Mantis said, they probably haven't released for a reason but I've had no problems yet.

I've Emailed you the FHm BIOS Asustech.

Remember it's for a REV 2 Motherboard and to load Optimal Default setting after flashing.

Let us know how you get on.
