I've had a 7950 Gigabyte for around a month now. Only just recently noticed this problem.
While watching youtube videos or movies on mpc the GPU usage is at 100% until I come out of full screen.
This also makes the fans speed up to around 50% and temps are 60c.
I'm using the latest AMD drivers,have just installed the new Beta ones but the problem remains and the card is at stock settings.
The problem also happens while watching iplayer videos and leaving the computer on desktop while AFK
It always happens on games(wow). If I don't touch the keyboard/mouse the FPS drops and the fans speed up.
Any ideas?
