Windows 7 x64 intel - is ET6 the download corrupted?
-
Completely broken for me - um, please help cannot imnstall ET6. I used to have it installed, but it got broken by the updater - I cannot install.
please help.
-
Frustrated a bit, used an ad-remove cleaner - rebooted re-downloaded and installer still crashes.
-
Did this get fixed - I have exactly same problem - I can install old version of easytune6 from CD ok, so it is obviously a problem with new version, on win 7 64.
:'(
Any work around?

Mine didn't work either and I just tried it again it work. The thing is make sure your Chipset and Intel Management Engine Components drivers are up to date. That is the only thing that have updated from the last time I tried it.
-
Can't see why drivers would impact installation - the problems we all reported were problems with the .msi installing easytune6 not of easytunes failing to work!
BTW, my mb is GA-78LMT-S2P (rev. 5.x), amd fx 4100 although don't think this is relevant - it is a problem for gigabyte to fix the installation and the way that the msi is used, not with the m/b.

I could be wrong but what I'm reading is that if you still had a early version installed it could cause the problem.
I have found this on many other forums that people are having problems.
This is what one person posted: GIGABYTE Easy tune-6 B12.1122.1 >> Please remove current / earlier version of Easy Tune-6 before installing this, otherwise Easy tune-6 will no longer function permanently!
-
The version that I'd originally installed was from 2012 or so- came on the installation CD with the m/b.
I saw the note about removing old version before installing new one. I could not find a de-install, so I merely deleted the files & folders that et6 had generated. How should one de-install? Why no de instal filel?

Start / programs / Gigabyte or Control panel Programs & features. In both areas you can uninstall them.
You just can't delete folder and files. There is still stuff in the Registry. Till you get that stuff out of the registry you basically screwed sorry.

OK, thanks, reinstalled original version, then removed it properly as per your email, then installed new version, and it installed ok. It shows up as the latest 2013 version and appears to run ok, showing the bios settings.
However, when I run it and select the tuner tab, I get the frequency tab, but don't get the ratio and voltage tabs as shown in the help, so can't change these.
Anyone any ideas about why? GA-78LMT-S2P on win 7 64 sp1, with latest f4a bios

When you are on that tab look at the Mode under that you see three tab Quick Boost, Easy, & Advance that is what you are looking for.
-
Can see mode - only 2 tabs there easy & advanced - neither has voltage changing.

On mine that is under the Advanced tab. I have Frequency, ratio, Voltage, l & Voltage ll
-
thank- so it can work, on amd- any ideas re what could be wrong with mine? Things I could try?
John
-
I have a AMD board and I'll try it on mine.
-
I got it on my AMD computer. I have the same thing you do. I only have easy & advanced.
When you click on advanced you then only have Frequency, Ratio, & Voltages.
If you want to click on them you have to click on ratio before you can click on voltages.
Click Frequency, then click Ratio, & than click Voltages. You just can't click on any one want.

Hey guys, I have figured out a way to fix this error (on my side). You can try to too if you're having this problem, it may work.
NOTE: I am not responsible if you end up breaking your computer or corrupting your registry. Proceed with caution, be careful and follow the steps exactly as explained.
Download the Easytune6 installer. There should be a "setup.iss" file. Open it in a text editor (notepad will do)
You will see a registry key in there. (mine was "457D7505-D665-4F95-91C3-ECB8C56E9ACA".)
Copy the key.
Now goto Start and type in "regedit" or "regedit.exe"
Hit enter (to open the registry editor)
Make sure "computer" is selected from the tree list so that we can start a scan from the beginning of the registry.
Now goto edit > Find and paste the registry key in.
Click "find next" and delete any keys that it finds (that matches the pasted key). There may be a few, so keep using "find next" until you find all the keys and delete them all
Then try to install easytune6 again
Good Luck!
