On motherboard there is 2x SPDIF OUTs:
a) optical output on back panel, ready to use
b) header with only 2 pins (signal + ground)
I would like to use b) with some (gigabyte) bracket to provide COAXIAL (RCA) digital output. Does exist such bracket?
I only see 3pin bracket with RCA + optical outputs.
If 2pin bracket does not exist, is it possible to use 3pin bracket and connect only those 2 correct pins?
I tried this aproach with some MSI bracket (looks very same to Gigabyte 12CR1-1SPOUT-03R) with no luck...
Then, why is there 2pin header which no accessory can use ?

Hi
all brackets for Gigabyte mobos are listed at:
http://www.giga-byte.co.uk/Products/Motherboard/AccessoryList.aspx
i confirm, for your model the most proper would be bracket model no. 12CR1-1SPOUT-03R. You can connect it to 2 pins of SPDIF_O on the motherboard with 2 out of 3 pins of the bracket, you just leave 1 pin of the brakcet (POWER) not connected and that's all.
have Merry Xmas !

Where can the bracket (12CR1-1SPOUT-03R) be purchased? I have googled but found no retailers.

in such case directly contact with branch of Gigabyte from your country to find it out. where do you come from ?
