Title: Blue Screen caused by gdrv.sys
Post by: vermio on December 25, 2013, 10:27:31 am
Hi,
Another problem I'm facing is the one that is described here http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,6250.0.html.
But I haven't overclocked my system.
I found a workaround here http://www.w7forums.com/threads/bsod-error-3b-7-8-times-a-day-urgent-fix-needed-fear-of-pc-being-damaged.14809/
But after I disabled the grdv.sys driver, most of the gigabyte utilities coming with the m/b don't work. ???
For Christ shake, is it so difficult for Gigabyte (or any other third party partner) to modify this faulty driver?
M/b is GA-970A-D3 Rev1201 and I use win7-64bit

No answer!
I thought that it was the official Gigabyte forum and I could get an answer from a specialist.
It seems I was wrong...

I started having the same issue after the latest Gigabyte update
What solved my problem is uninstalling all of thr Gigabyte Utilities, except 3TB+Unlock and Smart Recovery.
I've emailed my minidump to gigabyte support, waiting for them to research the problem.
Try contacting them by phone and yelling at them, seemed to help me get some attention from them tech support
