Title: Gigabyte 7950 Graphics Card - Not connecting to the monitor - fans not spinning.
Post by: BenTheHunturk on February 14, 2014, 08:09:17 pm
I have a problem with my GPU. Model is as title suggests, I've had it for about 5 months, in use for about 2-3 hours everyday, sometimes more.

Over the past few days, my PC would suddenly disconnect from my monitor. This could be fixed by simply restarting my PC. However, it got more and more frequent and today it won't connect to my monitor whatsoever. I opened up my case to have a look and found that my GPU fans weren't spinning at all. There is a green light on the motherboard adjacent to the card, with "PWR" written above. According to some friends f mine, this means that the card isn't fried, and that my comp is POST'ing. That's good news I guess.

However, I still can't connect to my monitor, which means my PC is rendered 100% useless.

Any ideas and/or reasons why this could be happening?

PS: I don't OC my GPU and have never done it in the past.

Thank you for any help.
