Title: GA-Z87X-D3H Wake on lan WOL
Post by: skonvols2k on March 16, 2014, 09:52:15 am
Hi,
I have just bought the GA-Z87X-D3H motherboard (F8 bios version). I'm using Windows 8.1 Pro x64 in UEFI mode and i installed the latest Intel's drivers for the integrated ethernet card.
WOL in bios is enabled and on windows driver too (in WOL section of ethernet card proprieties all the 4 marks are enabled).

i send magic packet from my open-wrt router as previously done with my old mobo (with etherwake) but nothing happens.
Can someone please help me?

Tnx
Regards

Hi,
found solution, this article explain why (windows 8.x is to blame, not gigabyte or intel) and how to fix: http://techie-blog.blogspot.it/2014/03/making-wake-on-lan-wol-work-in-windows.html (http://techie-blog.blogspot.it/2014/03/making-wake-on-lan-wol-work-in-windows.html)
