Title: Gigabyte EP31-DS3L Motherboard - need replacement!
Post by: ryboy on January 10, 2009, 04:36:00 pm
Hi all,

tried searching for a similiar thread but failed to find anything close.

I have very recently bought a GigaByte EP31-DS3L MoBo from Scan.co.uk.

On receiving the mobo, one of the pins where the CPU lays on is bent and conseqeuntly, it does not work. When I phoned scan to organise getting a replacement, they told me that the warranty does not cover pin damage and could not offer me a replacement.

As you can imagine, this has made me exponetionally angry.

After contacting the office of fair trading (UK), I was told that it is the LAW that if an item is faulty, then i am entitled to a replacement, repair or refund, regardless off any non existing or existing warranty.

All I want is my motherboard to be replaced so i can build my new machine. I do not want to go through drawn out legal channels. Does anyone have any advice? Can I send it directly back to Gigabyte for replacement? Or is a case that i have to deal with the supplier?

Thank you for taking time to read, and any advice you could give me would be greatly apprieciated.

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

If problem did not resolved you can request an RMA, just email returns@gbt-tech.co.uk. Quote:

1-Model Name as showing above.
2-Serial number (can find it on the board)
3-Faulty reason.
4-From where you purchased it.
