Title: Bios stalls when usb keyboard attached

1.All of a sudden won't boot with usb keyboard attached.
PS2 keyb. ok.
2-Have dual boot win 7 win 8 but cannot choose win8...goes directly to Win7
Took battery out for a while..no change.
BTW:battery 5 years old ..replace ?

You would only need to replace the battery if the computer is unable to keep its configuration settings.  You would know this if after you set the time and then unplug the computer. When you turn it back on the time is incorrect. Or the configuration has gone back to the defaults.

Id suggest that you change the keyboard.
