Title: No heat sinks or cooling for memory chips on back of GV-N770OC-4GD rev 2
Post by: czechman on May 12, 2014, 05:25:26 pm
Hi Everyone.

I just brought a GV-N770OC-4GD rev 2 card.
Why do the memory chips on the reverse side of the card have no heat sinks or cooling of any kind?
The chips on the front side are cooled by the windforce system.
Could this lead to overheating of these chips only? particularly if I use any overclock.
Is it necessary to put some heat sinks onto these chips? if yes why didn't Gigabyte do this?

I look forward to your replies.

Czechman.
