Hi
I have GA-Z87-HD3 and the last days i have broble with date and time
Sometimes i get date 1/1/1900 and time 01:00
It s not the bios battery because my manual bios settings are ok
It s not windows because i tried different time servers
I have latest bios and win updates
Does anyone have that broblem?
-
That is a bios time and date. That is what windows looks at. What ever you set the bios time at windows picks it up at.
What is the time and date in the bios? If you change it in windows it will change it in the bios. If it isn't than you have a real problem.
-
I cannot check that because if i restart (to check bios time) everything is back to normal
The problem lasts for 3 or 4 minutes max then everything is back to normal
The moment that broblem starts i have no access to internet !!!!
I did not have that problem until the last Gigabyte and windows updates....

Don't you just love windows 8. One thing you can try is make another account. Run that account and see what happens.
I had some what of the same problem. I did a update from windows and all kinds of problems. I did a new account and everything is fine now.
One thing you want to do too. Is when you are doing a new account shut off clouds because Microsoft can really spy on you with clouds and skydrive.

I just did all the updates from Microsoft and not having any problems. But the thing is I don't do MB updates unless I really need too.
The drivers that are installed are the ones when I installed windows. I have learn a long time ago you don't need to keep yours drivers up to date.
Unless you are having a problem. Most of my drivers are a year old or older.

I think you are very wrong because many times there are updates for security reason or for new hardware compability etc ... but it s your pc you can do everything you want

One thing you don't let Microsoft do any updates on your hardware. I have been doing this for more than 30 yrs. I think I might know something about computer.

I'll say it again one thing you can try is make another account. Run that account and see what happens.

Right now windows 8.1 is a big problem child for Microsoft. Why do you think they are coming up with all these updates.
Windows 8.1 is broke even worse than windows 8. I myself do the updates just to see what is happening. One other thing you can do is a system restore.
Before you did all the updates. Maybe that will fix the problem with the date & time. That you will give you a couple of option to try

The problem is at APP Center (Intel 8/9 series)
Uncheck the auto time sync at APP Center to resolve the problem
Allthought there is a new version of at APP Center the problem remains ...
