i put f9 on a few mnths ago without problems i try today to put f10 on and eziflash cant find drive error,so i installed ga bios tool on you desktop this installed f10 but after reboot only 2 cores are working, have checked in bios and 4 are selected? also in win 7 4 are selected,. i tried a few things but no joy,so i thought id go back to f8 bios with the ga windows bios tool, now its says the bios is protected and wont let it flash,,,any thought anyone??? thanx phil

Format a usb drive and install the bios you want to it. When you boot hit the end key and use Q flash see if it will go that way.

yea thanx for reply its solved a portion of the problem.. if i remember correct when i ran flash tool from bios it used to go to my ssd drive which i would then choose bios, but nevermind i can now at least see the thumb drive and bios so i put on f8 f9 f10 tried to revert to f8 and f9 but starts the flash up and then says it wont install as there is a update @gigabyte which is f10 so in short it wont let me revert to earlier bios?
so i redid f10 and still only 2 cores show up..do you think it needs an new os install to pick them up? thanx phil
just to hand in w7 devices/cpu its show 8 which is correct for the cpu but the drivers are ms 2007 is that right? i mean ive installed intel mb drivers?

That is right on the CPU driver. There some drivers you don't mess with and that is one of them. Mine CPU driver is 2006.
On going back to a earlier bios you might have to do with a booted flash drive.

ok i see now my 4 cores are showing may have been the programs i was using were no good after bios up to f10..

Unplug your computer from the internet and try again that way it wont see the updated bios info from gigabyte unless somehow it has stored it.
Better yet get the dual bios to kick in and it will revert it to the day you bought it. whatever bios that was. Then update it to f8
