Gentlemen,
My PC all of a sudden stop working this Saturday (06/28). PC turns on but does not show any image in the screen and, after a few seconds, my PC bips 3 times. I took the computer to a technician and it was diagnosed the BIOS of the Gigabyte motherboard is the cause of the problem.
After 3 days the technician is not able to reset or recover the BIOS and he tried every possible thing. The motherboard is less than 1 year old and I would like to make it clear I did NOT try to update the BIOS software or anything of that nature. The problem came with no apparently reason!
So, what can I do? Could I send my mobo to Gigabyte and require a replacement? Is there anything else could be tried? I really believed this motherboard was "ultra-durable"...
My PC config:
*MOBO: GA-990 FXA UD5 (rev 3.0)
*CPU: Phenom II X4 955 (3,2 GHz)
*Graphic Card: XFX Radeon HD 6970
*Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB)
*OS: Win 7 (64 bit)
*HD: Seagate 1TB
*PSU: Corsair TX850 v2 (850W)

3 beeps is a ram problem. Take out all ram and just use 1 stick and see what happens if it doesn't post switch out ram stick for another.

Autotech,
I've tested de RAM. They're OK. The technician did it too...
Would you have another tip?

I would RMA it to Gigabyte as they can put a new bios chip in it or use a bios flashing tool which cost a lot to buy or I would have one.

Autotech,
I've sent a message to Gigabyte support about RMA. I am looking forward to hearing from them in order to know whether I can do that.
The problem is that my mobo warranty expires next month (august 28)!

Here in the USA we can sent up our own RMA. Here is a link to support http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/customer-service.aspx
You might already have that link. But here we can just click the RMA link and set it up. The other thing we get 3 yrs and you only get 1 yr that sucks.

dmdilks,
Yes, I already have the support link. Unfortunately in Brazil we don't have a direct link to RMA. I'm still awaiting Gigabyte's reply to see what can I do. And you're completely right: in Brazil we only get 1 year warranty for mobos!
Anyway, could I send my mobo to Gigabyte without the original box?
