Title: Z97X Gaming 3 Boot issue.
Post by: pyrostuart on October 07, 2014, 04:29:03 pm
Hello everyone!

After a search I didn't found a solution for my problem...

I have the mobo from the title with a Core i5-4690k @stock+ 8GB Corsair Vengeance CL9 + SLI GTX 670 + OCZ Agility 4 120GB + Seagate 1TB with a Corsair TX750 PSU.

When I start the PC, I receive the message: "select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key".

But my SSD is right installed, using the Port 0 Sata 3, while my HDD is on the Port 1 Sata 3. I also have a blue ray recorder plugged at one of the Sata express ports.

To boot successfully I need to press the Reset button on the case and then my Windows 8.1 starts. I have change the boot priority on the BIOS but every time I shutdown the PC the boot priority reset to this: Bluray reader > HDD 1TB > SSD.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the bad English.

Well guys, I solved the problem by updating the SSD firmware through a OCZ tool to a new version.
