Title: gigabyte gt-p8000 - no sound
Post by: St0rm on March 14, 2010, 06:19:12 am
Hello,

I purschased tv tunner Gigabyte GT-P8000 and I have a sound problem. After installing latest drivers and utility soft like Pesto! I have a sound issue. Video is OK but I have no sound. I asume that this tv card dont need cables with sound card because this tv card has no line out to line in connector.

When I am using Windows Media center, I have a same problem. All tunned channels has clearly picture but no sound.

I tried anything including unmute all possible options in sound mixer, reinstaling newest sound drivers, reinstalling tv card drivers, uninstalling all codecs pack like klite codecs, changing norms from Pal_D to every possible.

I have a Win 7 OS (32), integrated sound card on motherboad .

Pls help.

I would recommend that you try emailing the original poster(St0rm) because there is a good possiblity that they won't see the updated thread.
Good luck

Hi guys,

yes I solved this problem by installing the newest codec packs like k-lite , all-in one codec etc. One of them solved problem but now I noticed bad synchronization sound with picture after some time of watching TV. It is annoying when after one hour is delay between video and sound more than 1-2 seconds. Honesly purchasing of this product was mistake and I am concidering that I return Lifeview Platinium TV card back to the computer.

Desynchronization of video and sound after some time is definitly not caused by low performence of my computer because I have Core i7 processor, 6GB RAM and ATI Radeon 5850 video card. I have no idea why after some time is sound desynchronized with video. I tried reinstaling codecs, newest codec packs but nothing helps.
