Title: Updating Brix i3 BIOS. Confused about .bat file.
Post by: Wozza2014 on December 06, 2014, 03:29:47 pm
Hi.

I want to update my Brix i3 BIOS to F6.  In the description of the download it says "Please type flash.bat in the dos mode", but there is no "flash.bat" file only a "fb.bat" file.  So should I type "fb.bat" in dos mode?

Also, there is what looks like a windows flashable exe in another folder (win64).  I have heard horror stories about flashing the BIOS within windows.  Is it safe nowadays and do you need to turn anything off in WIndows like UAC etc before proceeding.

I was all ready to flash via DOS but the fb.bat file has confused me.

Cheers.

Flashing "fb.bat" worked.
