hi
im rebuilding a machine, mother board model is GA-MA790FXT-UD5P,
i have a ssd, and i plan to install ubuntu on it.
can anyone advise what i should set the settings in bios too?
Ie there is a selection os raid, sata, ide, achi , and im a bit confused as to what it should be set to.
i have flashed the bios to the latest version.
SSD is a kingston.
i plan to also use an IDE Disk as data storage.

You want to set it to AHCI. The AHCI & Raid are basically the same controller. If you just using one SSD then set it to AHCI. If you using 2 SSD drives and want to setup Array then set it to Raid. The IDE is for older IDE hard drives.
