Title: GA-970A-DS3P rev 1.0 - Do I need to use Front Panel Audio Header?
Post by: fonebone on January 29, 2015, 04:40:22 pm
Hi:

I'm halfway through my second Gigabyte Motherboard build... However, the case cabling would be a lot better if I just left the Front Panel Audio Header cable unconnected and stuffed around the back with all the unused molex's, etc.  I always have a nice set of speakers plugged into the Back Panel and use a USB microphone but I have never used the front panel for the headphones OR the microphone socket...

So, the question is, do I need to use the Front Panel Audio Header or can I just leave it unplugged..?

Thanks in advance

No unless you want to use headphones other than that no.
