Anyone wondering about the alert sounding when all is fine?
Looking at the help file HW Monitor and comparing to the real one installed - CPU and System temperature is flipped!
Now, while the temperature bar display is correct with the real monitor the alarm threshold sliders are crossed - System does set CPU and CPU set System.
