Title: How about separate MB forums...?

For example, under your present:
Motherboards with Intel processors:
and,
Motherboards with AMD processors

 Have identifiable MB sub-folder headings...
....and that way, people who own a "soecific" MB can deal with their issues in a more categorized ability.
 Or, maybe cover the "similar" skt775, ..., skt1366, and the skt1156 type boards , maybe group them P55, X58,...?
Or, have a separate sub-folder topic for each MB, ? uhmm ok well, you get the gist, and maybe that would be a lot but...?

I also think something could to be done to make it clearer as to which issues pertain to what boards. I guess in some cases though, a certain problem might apply to multiple boards. In any case, I support the suggestion to enable less cluttered subforums. At the same time, there ought to be a view to enable all threads to be seen simultaneously to make it easier for those with knowledge across boards to answer different problems.

I agree about the sub folders within the Intel and AMD sections. But I wouldn't break it down too far, probably just keep it to the different sockets.

I run the older 775 socket and most of the forum questions now are the newer type sockets for the I7's which means I have to trawl through pages finding topics on my version.

Not everyone wants the I7's due to cost/spec of their current system/or no need for it.

Which is why I'm also surprised Gigabyte don't make any of the high end 775 boards anymore, had a hell of a game finding a good 775 board to upgrade from my old Intel G31 (ZERO overclocking ability).

Thouroughly agree. Subforums by Socket Type then Model.

Idiotic to have a forum doing anything else tbh.

The Forum has search facility to find common problems.

The biggest problem with things stuff down into sub forums is the amount of work that would need to be done by the mods. This is because the amount of threads started in the wrong area would increase substantially necessitating the moving of many threads.  With enough man power it should work though.

The idea has been rejected now after some lengthy debate for many of the reasons posted above. ;)
