going to use on board 6.0 gb/s sata 3 controller on x58s ud7 w/ 4 of these drives:

anyone know a good size to make drive?
also whats a good size for stripes?
how do you think they will perform? what should i expect? i hope a noticeable improvement over my 4 x 1tb samsung f3s in RAID 0+1
my 920 is at 4.11
using F4 bios

There is only 2 SATA3 6.0gb/s ports on x58a- ud7 board. Several people spoke about the poor performance of the RAID on this Marvell 6.0gb/s controller

Other ports are standard SATA2 3.0gb/s (6 - ICH10R and 2 - Gigabyte SATA)
I think there is no reason to use standart HDD on SATA 6.0gb/s ports (even they have SATA3 interface it is no big increase in speed)
There is only one "real" SATA 6.0gb/s drive today - Crucial Real SSD 300
