Title: GA-Z170N-GAMING 5 Audio Question
Post by: Gaming5User1 on October 24, 2015, 03:52:52 am
The manual is not clear, this board has amplified headphone outlet, and 7.1 speaker support. I need to use both. But the rear front L/R channels jack appears to also be the amplified headphone jack? Is the front panel headphone jack the amplified hifi headphone out?

Like I said, tryin to have headphones for at night, and feed 7.1 analog outs into an amplifierduring the day.

Anything that can clear this up appreciated. :)

The front and line out should be the same. You can't use both at the same time. If you have the headset plugged in the front it shut off the speakers. That is the only draw back to headset and speakers. You can only use one at a time.

Just plug them in the front and disconnect them when not using them. The ony other thing you can try is get a Y connection and have the headsets and the speakers connected on the line out.
