Title: Flashing BRIX BIOS
Post by: MartinT on February 06, 2016, 10:52:17 am
Is there some ju-ju involved in getting the BRIX (GB-BSi7-6500) to boot into MS-DOS?  I'm trying to flash the BIOS to the new F4 version.  I have used two methods to create a bootable USB drive (the old HP utility and Rufus) but booting the BRIX on F12 and selecting the drive has a look at it and then proceeds to boot W10 from the SSD anyway.

Any ideas?

Answering my own question, you have to set 'W7' BIOS mode and then it will boot into MS-DOS.  With the default 'W8-W10' mode, it will not.

BIOS now successfully updated to F4.

Many thanks Martin, I tried various methods before I found your posts on the subject and now my GB-BSi3-6500 BIOS is updated to F4.
