Can anyone help me understand this please?
The 2 radiator fans on my water cooler connected (with a "Y" splitter) to the "CPU_FAN" header run at 100% as soon as Windows loads. If I connect them to the "CPU_FAN_OPT" header they seem to run fine or at least a lot slower.
I've tried clearing the BIOS but this made no difference. I ran EasyTune and am currently running at 4.4Ghz but even if I reset everything to defaults the problem is still there.
My system is
Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7 motherboard + 6700K CPU
16 GB RAM
Cooler master Nepton 280L
Windows 7 64 HP
I'd be grateful for any advice.
