Title: Multiple issues/Unsure things
Post by: Ram Page on March 22, 2016, 01:05:15 pm
I have a few things I don't understand or then there are problems with my computer:

1. Chassis fan speed:
    - All the three fans have different speed (on both auto and manual settings). They are connected to SYS_FAN1, 2 and 3.

2. CPU speed and voltage (idle) (readings from SIV and Aida64)
    - CPU Speed: 3.0-4.2 GHz
    - CPU Load: 1-5 %
    - CPU CoreV warning: under 0.60 V

3. Internet connection
    - Yellow triangle and red/white "X" appear time to time on the network icon
    - Modem is ok, cable is ok. Works fine with my Mac.
    - The quality of the connection varies from 40 to 95 mbits when on my Mac it's 91-95 mbits
    - No wifi or other connections present

All the drivers and stuff are updated (except BIOS). All the settings are default.

On the fans they will have different speed even if the they are the same. How difference are the speed?

On the CPU in windows it will be different speeds because windows controls that and only uses what it needs.

What OS are you using? I have a X99 Evga board and I have to keep fixing the winsock on it. It is running windows 10

All the problems I mentioned are gone after I replaced the Gigabyte software with other software. The front fans earlier: 550 and 740 rpm (idle). At the moment: 480 and 492 rpm. The rear fan is not a PWM fan so it obviously runs at the same speed all the time. I also noticed that the random "snap" sound from the speakers is gone as well.
