Title: GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 Displayport Audio Windows 10
Post by: joevt on April 11, 2016, 04:49:41 pm
Before I got my Nvidia graphics card, I had my Dell UP2715K connected via mini DisplayPort. I had the audio set to output through the display's speakers (via DisplayPort). The sound would often and regularly cutout for a second.

Audio through the Nvidia DisplayPort is perfect though.

Hello,

So you are wondering why?

If you were using the Intel iGPU and running memory using the XMP setting, 2400, 2666, 3000+... It may have over-volted the CPU's GPU causing it to momentarily cut out.

Or some other factor...

It happens whether XMP profile is enabled or not. I've tried default BIOS settings too.

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this built-in DisplayPort audio problem or if there's a solution. It might help to know if someone has built-in DisplayPort audio working properly.

Maybe it's the mini DisplayPort cable or connector, or the display.
