Title: sSATA vs SATA
Post by: mammolastan on May 12, 2016, 01:46:49 pm
Quick question, sorry if this is dumb. What is the difference between sSATA and SATA?

The manual for my motherboard shows that there are 6 SATA connections and 4 sSATA connections, and the description of the connections is very slightly different but sounds like the exact same thing (see picture below, or full manual http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5283#manual (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5283#manual))

I have Gigabyte GA-x99-UD3p
