Title: GA-MA790GP-DS4H upgrade to 16GB Ram
Post by: 3d47rexle on July 13, 2016, 08:22:45 pm
Hi there,

I tried to increase the Ram from 4GB to 16GB with my GA-MA790GP-DS4H (CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940) in Win7.  I got 4x4GB PC2-6400U 800Hz Ram and put in it.  It has continue short beeps (around 14 beeps) w/ black screen.  According to the user manual, it is about Power error, but I am not quite think so.  I tried to run 2x4GB (different combination out of that 4 sticks) and the windows can boot up without problem.  I tried update the BIOS from F3 to F6, and the problem is still the same.  This motherboard is supposed to support 16GB Ram, and all the Ram seem to be fine, any idea / suggestion to my situation?
