Title: GA-X99P-SLI Ram Slots for Quad Channel?
Post by: neolivz on July 23, 2016, 02:36:10 pm
Hi,
I recently purchased GA-X99P-SLI. I purchased 4x 16GB sticks. If I install all 4 sticks I get continuous short beeps (incorrect ram slot) and does not start  :-[. If I use only 2 sticks it boots (any 2, so it's not RAMs fault). Please find attached images. Am I missing something ? Do I need tweak something in the motherboard bios for the  quad channel to work properly?

Have to tried to update the bios. Plus what is the speed of the memory too? Your CPU only really supports 2133. You could set the XMP to the 2133 and then try the other memory. Or try just one stick and set the XMP.

The memory will it support x99 boards. They are getting to point that they are make memory just for x99 or Z170 or both. Does your memory show up on the list too on Gigabytes site for the GA-X99P-SLI.
