Title: Green Dots on Xtreme gaming 1080 waterforce
Post by: alias9487 on February 23, 2017, 07:42:34 am
Guys I need help!

Just purchased the Gigabyte GeForceĀ® GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming WATERFORCE 8G   (GV-N1080XTREME-W-8GD)

I'm getting random green dots on my screen!
I tried formatting my OS HDD, re-installing drivers, installing old drivers listed on the Gigabyte webpage.
Nothing seems to work.

Please help

I had a similar situation with my 1060.

Here's what worked for me.

In the Nvidia Control panel

3D settings - Manage 3D settings

Set multi display/mixed-GPU acceleration to : Single display mode
Set power management mode to : Prefer maximum performance
Set texture filtering quality to : High performance.

Then,

Make sure your display adapter is in MSI mode.
