Title: Audio on DVI-D in a H61M-USB3H?
Post by: Bitter on May 02, 2017, 04:09:56 pm
Hi everybody

I have an H61M-USB3H like a mediacenter running Kodi.

Last week, my HDMI out breakdown, no video through HDMI. Well, no problem, I can use the DVI-D to send video to my receiver but here is the big problem, I don't have audio.

I use ad DVI-HDMI adaptator to plug the mediacenter to my Marantz receiver....I have video but no audio. Windows don't recognice the DVI-D like a playback device.

Any way to do this or directly I can't give audio through DVI-D?

Thank you very much.

Greetings,
DVI does not carry audio.  Only video.  Hope this answers your question.

Think you're wrong.

Now, I'm using in a MSI MOBO, DVI-D - And adapter to HDMI to an ASUS monitor and I HAVE ALL the audio, so.......

DVI brings audio

Another question is that mi H61M, don't send audio via DVI, but this is a mobo limitation, don't DVI limitation.
