Hey folks,
Just installed a complete desktop with the following specs:
GIGABYTE GA-790XTA-UD4
AMD Phenom X6 1090T
CORSAIR 4GB DDR3 XMS3 DHX PC10600 1333MHZ CL9 also known as TW3X4G1333C9DHX.
CORSAIR TX 750W
The rest of the specs doesn't not matter in this case.
I'm normally not a noob in this business, but I'm concerned about the motherboard, maybe it's dead on arrival, and that's why I ask here.
The case:
Everytime the PC reaches the BIOS-screen it stays for 2 seconds and reboot instant, and it goes on. I can't reach BIOS or any other control.
Tried resetting CMOS once but nothing happened.
Hope you can help me!

Hi Effers
Make sure you install the F3G bios for 6 core cpu compatibility
do note that it is a Beta bios
so one of these boards out of the box doesnt support the Phenom X6
Good luck

Thanks for the quick answer, will try it tomorrow and see what will happen.
I know it shouldn't be a problem, but if the flash fails, will I be able to do a RMA on the product? Since i was informed that the mb did support the newest X6 cores.

well the Bios is beta
so obviously there will be limitations on warranty
you were misinformed about that motherboard supporting x6 cpu's especially without an official bios
so the store should take back the product as it has been missold
not sure if you can flash the bios without putting on a supported cpu...

The store didn't miss infom me, though did the Gigabyte info itself by saying the mb was compatible with x6, imo it's a mistake to inform when it's just running a beta atm.
Yes just contacted a buddy with a X4 965, so should be doable.

That is odd
I suppose then that a full certified bios will be available soon
good luck with the setup
