Title: Aorus x370 k7 native ram compatibility question
Post by: FriX on May 28, 2017, 01:22:09 pm
Hi  :) I must build a pc with an R7 1800x an aorus x370 k7 with 64gb of ram (corsair vengance 16gbx4)
In the main web site in the specification of the motherboard is clear that you can put only ram with 2666 mhz of native frequency or less .
In some web site i've found some topics of people that uses 3200 mhz vengance with a right timing they can reach 3000 more less and some one has reach in oc a stable 4000
With the cl15 3000 hmz in some topic there is wrote that there is a profile xmp to reach 2999 of frequency stable with no oc.
My question is :
is worth to buy 16x4 of vengace with 3200 mhz or 3000 or 2666 are best options?

The bios will downclock ram if you use all 4 ram slots - even more if it's dual bank ram sticks!
The ram speed is theoretical and won't translate into any benchmarks - it's fast enuf anyway!
