Title: Difficulty Enabling VT-x hardware acceleration in P35K BIOS
Post by: FrustratedBIOS on July 10, 2017, 12:41:10 am
Hi,

I have a first generation Gigabyte P35K and desperately need to enable vt-x acceleration for a work project.
My BIOS currently has NO OPTION to enable hardware acceleration.

First Question: Is it possible? Can this laptop be set to use VT-x hardware acceleration?  I downloaded Intel's tool and it believes that this cpu is capable of VT-x acceleration and I only need to turn it on in the BIOS.
Second Question: If so which BIOS can I use and where can I download it from?

In my system information below you can see I have the P35.30C update but the date differs by 2 days from GIGABYTES support page I don't know if that's important or not.  I tried flashing my BIOS to the latest version from the support website within windows and it seemed to work and then flashed up an "unexpected error" message.  My PC is still fully functional so I'm not sure if it flashed it or not.

Thanks for any replies in advance...
