My Corsair Vengeance LPX ( allegedly Hynix Die  ) have an XMP chip for 2666Mhz but actually clock at 2999Mhz happily with the CL 16 timings of the XMP , even with 4 x 4 GB Sticks

The Strange Part is that I upgraded them to 2 x 8GB Gskill Flare X ( B-Die)  which have an XMP for 3200 CL14  ( allegedly specific for AM4/Ryzen ) and they have problems running the XMP speed - Work that one out !!
