since i got the card month ago ... i had this problem.
different readings in overclocking the gpu for both programs.

That looks odd. The labels seem to be totally wrong? Download GPU-z, that will say the real 3d Clock speeds of your graphics card. You should be able to overclock, EVGA Precision or Rivatuner are good utilities to use.
The speeds only go up in certain steps before they increase (27Mhz I believe) for the core and shader, and increase them in small steps until th temperature reaches 95C or so under load. You can also increase the fan speed to keep the card cooler.

Be an idea to upgrade those ancient drivers too
257.21 is current WHQL.
