Damn, interesting :)
I can it now, in the near future, I will be able to clock a mate machine over the net before long, and then of course sites will go up that overclock for you remotely once you dial in the speed you are looking for :D
Thanks for the video, very interesting and good to see Gigabyte starting to really get involved in overclocking and bringing it to a more mainstream market (since die hard will always use BIOS for playing about)

Extremely cool! 8) It is something that bodes well for the future although I think there may be a few downsides to it as far as hacking is concerned. Very interesting anyway.

Just a thought but......
as Gigabyte is now so willing to promote overclocking on its boards, does this mean it will extend the warranty for any mishaps?
Or are they still holding the official line that they do not support overclocking? If that is the case it's a bit of a contradiction, don't you think!

You have to be kidding me right?
Intel warrants that chips will run at certain ratings, and of course there is plenty of leeway built-in, yet they are most certainly within their rights to object to any claim for using a product beyond spec no? Indeed it is most prudent :)
Why would any hardware company give carte blanche to anyone overtly and aggressively "trying" to explore the outer limits of a product?
Just because manufacturers cater to the demands of many of us, does not mean they are willing to commit economic suicide I bet.
Generally speaking, "good companies" alert customers to the perils of misuse mainly to protect themselves from fools who tamper with things beyond their ken, however "good companies" are also smart enough to have some flexibility and generally speaking treat issues on their merits.
I would "hope" Gigabyte is such a company, and I would imagine that if you returned a product which was faulty, irrespective of what clocking adventures you had embarked on, provided there was clearly no evidence of user culpability in whatever the "fault" was, your case would be treated on its merits.
Now of course like you, I am just someone who uses a GA product, I have no idea what "official" line GA might have, but I have come to expect a certain level of customer support and quality from them over the years, and while I doubt GA (or any other company) is ever going to indemnify us against "mishaps", I would be fairly confident any product which is demonstrably "faulty" would be dealt with as we would expect :)
Common sense I believe is the issue here, if some stuff "breaks" or "dies" due to manufacturing fault or other failure, we deserve redress, if it by misadventure of our own causing, surely we would be barking mad to even contemplate asking anyone other than ourselves to shoulder the blame.

Does this app work with all gigabyte boards?
Have not seen it avaliable for download.

Awesome. Just awesome. Are they planning on bringing this functionality to other boards? I have very little money as a student and I would be disappointed if I had to upgrade :(

Cloud OC is planned to be released soon, should happen next week as far as I know.
It will support our X58, P55 and H55 platforms first. We will have support on AMD platform later on.

We demand new GA technology:
1:) Official Gigabyte Cup Holders (must fit JOLT Cola)
2:) SATA 3.0 Coffee ports (with high-speed cappuccino output)
3:) Built-in "Gigabyte Girlfriend" (since we often forget what the real thing is)
4:) Front panel mounted "any key" so installs are easier
5:) Bay mount beer fridge.
Let the poor engineers know runn3R ok?

Well it took a long time to install, I thought it had failed but then it suddenly started moving. You might want to tell them that it's CLOUD not COULD OC on the install program. ::)

Well one thing that i have noticed with the program is that when loaded (and the default is to load at startup) it has areally bad effect on the latency. If you run DPClatency when the CloudOC is running it gives extremely high readings.

I've used cloud oc from my iphone and it works very well, thanks gigabyte :)
