I've just purchased a Gigabyte M6880 laser gaming mouse and it seems to randomly change DPI in World of Warcraft for no reason. There's a button on the mouse for changing the DPI from 800-1600 but I never press it, it just seems to change for no reason. World of Warcraft is the only game I play where this problem occurs. In other games it's fine.
Actually it seems to be whenever I hold down the left & right mouse buttons at the same time (which is "Auto-run" in WoW).
I've just installed some drivers and that didn't help either.
What could be wrong with it?
Thanks.

You say you just installed some drivers as well was the problem there before that? If not I would remove the drivers one ata time and see if you can locate the troublesome one.
Have you installed the Gigabyte software drivers for the mouse?
-
The drivers I installed WERE the Gigabyte Mouse ones. The problem was there before I installed them aswell :(

Are you running hte latest updates for WOW?
-
It won't let you play unless you have the latest updates, so yes :)
-
If you go back to your original mouse do the problems still exist?
-
No, it's definitely something to do with the Mouse. I found a thread about the same thing, so obviously other people are experiencing the same problem with this mouse - http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=13517554944&sid=1

I guess that the next step would be to contact Gigabyte Technical Support and see if they have a fix. If not maybe they can arrange for a patch to be written.
-
Would you mind telling me how I'd do that? Thank you very much.

Certainly my pleasure. Just click on the link and it will take you to the Gigabyte website page you need to sort out any technical support. I would say however that you will probably have to wait about four or five days faor an answer.
