Title: GA-MA790FX-DQ6 Phenom II 955 Support

I have just installed a phenom II 955 in my GA-MA790FX-DQ6 with latest bios 7A, but this dosen`t seem to fully suport this CPU even though is listed on the supported CPU list!!! the processor is only running at 1.61Ghz ??? anyone else having this problem when is the bios update comming out to support this processor???? thanks ;)

What says 1.61Ghz? Try loading into windows and get CPU-z. Cool n Quiet (or something like that) might be enabled, so you need to load it too to get full speed.

Question Answered!!!!

Gigabyte are releasing a new bios which superseeds 7A (current bios) should be out this week at somepoint!! this wil support the phenom 955, the current bios does not!! although on the cpu support list, this is straight from gigabyte support who said they made a mistake.

Thanks again to gigabyte whos support was superb  :)
