Title: Problems with overclocking on GA970a ud3p

So here are my specs:

AMD FX 8320e
GA 970a UD3P
CPU Cooler: Cooler master Hyper 212 LED
Case: Aerocool Project 7 C1 pro
Fans: Aerocool P7-F12 (x3 intake) and Amztronics Fans (x3 out)
Gigabyte GTX 1060 WindForce OC 3GB
EVGA 500W PSU

And here are the results of one of the stress tests i did:

As you can see im trying to take my 8320e from 3.2  to 4.2 Ghz, and everything seems fine in the stress test, but once i turn off my PC and turn it back on i get a screen that says "The system has experienced a boot failure possibly due to incorrect configuration" and it wont let me boot, but if i keep all settings as they are and just enter BIOS and select "Save and exit" my PC boots just fine, it does that every single time i try to boot my PC, after i boot it i can use it normally, do stress test, gaming etc, so theres gotta be something i'm not doing right.

You might not be doing anything wrong.

-This might be related to your BIOS rev
-Memory or CPU
-PSU

Its not that any one component is faulty, but rather their combination in conjunction with the aggressive settings that is causing the board to report a failed OC.

An earlier or later BIOS rev might allow you to run these settings without the warning.  Lowering / raising CPU and memory voltages might resolve.  Lowering clock speed slightly might just be enough for it to squeak by at start up.  Overdrive is spec'd for 4.0Ghz (this CPU)...  what happens if you run that?  Is that stable every POST?

Squeezing an additional 200Mhz out of your rig at the cost of stability is not worth it.  Stability includes "at start up".  Or deal with the behavior knowing you are pushing the CPU and memory beyond their stated capabilities.   

This most likely has to do with the BIOS, but all components can play a role here.  You will need to tweak further and/or lower your expectations based on your hardware.

1.35 load voltage for 4.2ghz its ok i guess... for my 8350. Mine does 5.3ghz at 1.52v.
Maybe your cpu need more voltage. For 4.2ghz turbo 8350 or 8370 has 1.42v....
Do an test: raise voltage to 1.42v, llc medium, high performance ON, ram to STOCK or 1600mhz.
