Title: APP Center incorrectly keeps telling me there's an update
Post by: King Mustard on March 13, 2018, 03:11:20 pm
APP Center B17.1226.1 keeps stating:

"Updates are ready for your computer. Click here to install these updates."

However, when I do that, I'm just showing the box that contains the 'Update' and 'Not Installed' tabs and you can't click on the Update tab.

Any ideas?

Greetings,
Many of us have a love hate relationship with App Center.  My recommendation for its use.   When you install it and it works, don't upgrade the installed version.  Want a later version, uninstall old, reboot and install the newer one.  Ignore the prompts to upgrade.  Resist  ;D

I'm running an older copy of it on my z97 and the initial release of the version on my z370.  The z370 is a little quirky but it works.

Other things I do.  Only install the Apps you will use, don't install things like USB Blocker unless you need it.  Use System Restore to create a restore point before testing new software.  Al least this way you can go back.  Try uninstalling what you have, restart and install the latest from the support site for your board.  Restart again and test.
