Title: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 boot loop with Corsair Vengeance Ram

Hi,

I'm wondering if someone can help me.

I have this motherboard and 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Ram (1600).

When I first built the system, I only installed 2x4GB ram, and it worked fine. A year or so later, I upgraded to 4x4GB ram. I remember having this same problem, and troubleshooted it. I somehow fixed it, but I don't remember how. I believe it was a setting in the BIOS, but I can't be for sure.

The machine has been off for about a year now. I plugged it in a week ago, and it POSTed fine. I didn't think anything about it.

Yesterday, I rebuilt the machine, changing the case, the cooler, the video card, and added some new fans. Now, the when I have 4 sticks of RAM, it will bootloop.

When I have 2 sticks in the two slots farthest from the CPU, it will boot to BIOS fine. If I have a stick in any of the other two slots, the machine will bootloop indefinitely.

Any tips on how to fix this problem again? Again, I'm not sure how I had fixed the issue a few years ago, but I'm certain it worked with 4x4GB before.

It's a few years past my RMA, so I'm SOL in regards to getting a new one. Many of the solutions I've google'd have resulted in sending the motherboard back and getting a new one.

Hi,
Its recommended that you use a matched set of RAM on the QVL for your board for best results.  It might be possible for you to set timings and voltage manually in the M.I.T. section of the BIOS.  Do this with two sticks installed, then power off, add the others and retest boot.
