Title: Z270x Gaming 7 ,Win10 freezes at restart Error Code 8
Post by: Hosney on October 17, 2018, 10:35:19 am
When i press restart the PC freezes for one sec. then windows shuts down but the pc does not boot with error code 8 so i have to clear the cmos then configure it again in order to boot normally, this happends randomly not at every reboot.
I dont know what to do to fix this problem.

Greetings,
There is no diagnostic or error code documented for "8".

Please provide your full system specs

Did the system restart behavior ever work as expected?

Has any new hardware been added recently?

Was this a fresh install of windows 10, or did you migrate the install from another system?

Have you updated the BIOS?

And..  are you using any utilities (software) with hardware profiles for fans, GPU, etc?

The problem has started after updating the rgb fusion software to the latest version and now the system is stable after uninstalling it. So what does the error code 8 means?

As I said previously, there is no documented definition for error code 8.  You will have to contact Gigabyte support for more information.

Since you reported this behavior is related to software, disabling "Fast Start Up" in Power Management might help correct the behavior.  Or, just stick with the version of RGB Fusion that works.
