Title: Cooler for Ryzen 7 2700x
Post by: geekyadz on December 16, 2018, 04:53:12 pm
Hi,

I'm getting a Ryzen 7 2700x processor and wondering what cooler to use on it.

It (apparently) comes with a Warth Prism cooler.

However I've got a Corsair H55 cooler which, according to the website, days it's AM4 compatible.

I would argue this as the manual for it doesn't state anything about being AM4 compatible, nor did it show me any parts for AM4 boards.

I also want to check: I'm assuming that the H55 cooler wouldn't be ok for the Ryzen 7?

How good is the Warth cooler? Ie if i keep it on stock will be ok for gaming with or will I need something better?
