Title: VGA RX570 not recognized by Z170X-UD5 TH
Post by: arthuro on January 25, 2019, 11:24:21 pm
Hi all,
I recently bought a Radeon RX570 4Gb vga for gaming. I ve been trying two days to make it work, which means the bios doesnt recognize it at all! I fully upgraded the bios from F5 version to the 22G one. Still nothing. I reseated the card multiple times..nothing. The psu (corsair 750w) is connected to the card by both PCIE power cables.
I changed HDMI ports... no use. The onboard vga works fine.
Whenever i connect the cable to the card i get no signal.  :-\
Should I RMA it? I cannot think of anything else right now  :(

Update:
The post procedure stops by 5 beeps "No Console Output Devices are found". D6 error code.
I checked the card with another motherboard and it is working perfectly. So, then I connected the card to the second slot X8 and it is working!! But why x16 slot keeps denying recognizing the card ??

Might be.  Try performing a CLR_CMOS and retest with the card in the x16 slot.

You may have already done this after the flash, but I suggest doing so again.  Ensure you are connecting to a standard display and not a 4k TV.  While the card does support 4K output, we've seen instances where the BIOS does not.

Do not use any adapters or dongles.  Just straight cable from card to display.

Other settings to check:

-Max Link Speed.  Default is likely AUTO, try another.

VGA Support. EFI is Default (Try Legacy)

I don't believe these will help, but test to be thorough.

Thank you all for your replying

1. CLR_CMOS didnt work.
2. My monitor is an EIZO FLEXSCAN M1900 so...it is more than compatible.
3. I use straight cable from card to display (DVI)
4. Max Link Speed no luck with all options
5  EFI /Legacy no luck with both.

Probably the slot is faulty. Although i ve never used it before!  :( >:(
I believe my mobo is not on warranty any more. So i will live with the 8x speed....  :-\ :'(
