Title: Z77X-UD4H - Graphics card not detected
Post by: Störung on February 20, 2019, 11:50:38 am
Hello,
yesterday I cleaned my case out and removed my graphics card to have more room. After I am done I put the card back in, connect everything, start up but the graphics card isn't detected anymore. The gpu is a MSI GTX 1060. I tried my old Gigabyte GTX 770 also wich doesn't get detected either. Tried both Pcie slots without result. The cards get power, leds on MSI turn on and the 770 will spin the fans.
I'm going later to test the card in someone else pc and see if it gets detected, but because it's both cards I suspect it sooner to be something with the motherboard?

*Small update, the gpu card gets detected in another system.

Anyone has a clue for this one?

Regards.

I just got this solved by clearing the cmos.

Steps I toke 1) Pushed the cmos button on the MB for 10 seconds 2) Disconnected power 3) Removed battery for over a minute.

Then placed back the graphics card, then the battery and then connected power again. Connected one screen via DVI. Started up and went BIOS to set everything back as it was and it runs back as before. Great!

Sure that was a sigh or relief.  Good job!

In a way, yes a relief. On the other hand, there goes my excuse to build a new system  ;D I'm still with the 3rd gen intel cpu. I would want to have something newer, but I like this Z77 UD4H board, wouldn't do that away either. And I can't seem to find my thing in the new boards!!

Look at the Z390 UD

Actually the Gaming X is a better option as it shares identical UD specs with the 390 UD.  On sale you're getting the same board with a few bumps. Higher end audio chip, integrated I/O shield and a little RGB which is missing on the 390 UD.
