Just had a quick look at the video feed for this event which is running now: http://gooc2010.gigabyte.com/Europe/
Not too much to see and the commentary is poor but I hope things will improve as the real overclocking begins!
-
Yes I am watching it too. As you say pretty much aload of drivel being talked but hopefully it will get more interesting as it goes on. By tha way mine's a bitter, any real ale will do.
-
yea, I prefer a bitter and listening to this feed I think I will need many pints to get through it.
Still, it doesn't actually get going until 11:30 BST so hopefully things will improve.
-
Yes I know what you mean. I am just sitting here doing a little customising project while I am watching.
-
Well we're off, let's see how things improve now!
-
Well, it's still a bit like watching paint dry but some of the comments are interesting to hear.
I like the idea of Gigabyte organising "Overclocking Workshops" that seems like a really good idea and would help promote understanding of the subject.
-
Well we have discussed a similar topic here on the forum recently didn't we. We said that Gigabyte should get more involved in the o/c scene and produce and market more o/c products. But I agree it could be an exciting idea. We will wait and see.
-
So, for those not watching this, at the moment Belgium and Serbia are in the lead with poor old Jabski, representing the UK, yet to post any figures

Hopefully it will lead to an official Gigabyte Overclocking Team. I know jabski is backed by Gigabyte but as far as I know they don't actually field an offical team.

Well, although I'm not really into overclocking my own gear, if Gigabyte would like to provide the equipment I'm more than willing to give it a go! ;D
-
Well I must admit to the same feelings. I like to find out how to o/c and other extreme measures but don't run my own gear like that for long. I just can't afford to ruin my equiptment. As you say if it was supplied then thats a different matter.
