Title: 2060 Super Gaming, RGB Fusion 2.0 not working
Post by: David27 on August 29, 2019, 04:04:38 pm
I have a new Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC. It has the RGB Fusion advetised in the key features page:  https://www.gigabyte.com/pt/Graphics-Card/GV-N206SGAMING-OC-8GC#kf . But, there is no RGB Fusion at the download section like it should https://www.gigabyte.com/pt/Graphics-Card/GV-N206SGAMING-OC-8GC/support#support-dl-utility .
The generic Fusiion software doesn't work, everything is greyed out. Will Gigabyte still add it? How to make it work? I want to be able to control the led behavior.

Greetings,
RGB Fusion is a feature supported on Gigabyte Motherboard's.  Its part of App Center.  If you use a compatible Gigabyte GPU, it too will be supported.  Note it says "synchronize with other AORUS devices".  To my knowledge, fusion is not a standalone feature of the GPU.  You have to have a GB motherboard with fusion installed for it to work.  Hope that answers your question.

But it doesn't say that, actually it states the opposite. "With 16.7M customizable color options and numerous lighting effects, you can choose lighting effects or synchronize with other AORUS devices." And it shows you the options you can choose from:

Even if you don't want to syncronize with other devices, you should be able to personalize what your device does. Mine is just automatically doing that first option.
Why do some other Gigabyte GPUs have a Fusion downlaod available and thisi one doesn't?

Greetings,
I see your point.  I've only used it with my 370 board and my GPU's are EVGA.

Install this and let me know if it works for you.  Or is this what you already installed?

I know it works with GB motherboards.

Same problem. The program starts, but everything is greyed out. When installing I it says that the microsoft visual c++ 2015 redistributable (x68) installation falied. Maybe that is necessary to run the software.

Greetings,
Take a look at this site.

https://www.gigabyte.com/MicroSite/512/support.html

Click on the Graphics Card tab.  Note the 2060 is not listed.

I still believe what I said originally applies.  You have to have a Gigabyte Motherboard for RGB Support on the 2060.  This is supported by you not seeing a download as you pointed out. ?

You can contact Gigabyte, but I believe they will confirm this.

Then it's misleading advertise by Gigabyte, it's on the 2060 super's page just the same as the others.
